Being Mexican and living in Houston, we’re always looking for food that reminds us of home. This is the place. Their menudo is the best I’ve had in Houston. Their chilaquiles were outstanding! Breakfast tacos were loaded and delicious! But the shining stars here are the barbacoa tacos topped with their salsa. This place is with the drive!
Small family owned restaurant. Ordered the menudo. It was lunch. With homemade corn tortillas. Everything was so good. Flavor, seasoning,heat. I definitely wood recommend this place. I shall return. Very very good.
I do not recommend this hole in the wall! Chips were cold and stale. Salsa had a weird bean taste. Chilaquiles were good, but carnitas tasted old and/or microwaved. Totally caught off-guard with $2.50 charge for drink refills! Waitress nor menu stated there was a charge. Was told AFTER the fact that there is a sign, which is way off to the left when entering and not visible to customers. I suggest placing information on menu and on door. When explaining charges, waitress stated owners were difficult and do not make exceptions. She too had never been to a place that charges for refills.
