I must say this is the best hu tieu nam vang in Houston, I feel like home every time. The restaurant could be outdated place, but the food is so authentic, and tasty. If you wanna eat authentic hu tieu, run to Hong Phat.
This is easily among the best Phnom Penh-style noodle soups in town. The broth is the absolute show-stealer; its deep, rich umami flavor—honed by simmering pork ribs—commands instant respect from any food lover. Growing up, I lived next door to a shop just like this, and every bite brings back childhood memories of diving into a massive bowl of noodles. Even after finishing the meal, I found myself wanting to tip the bowl back and savor every last drop of that incredible broth. It’s wonderful to see how the Vietnamese community honors this Khmer classic by continuing to perfect it. Last but not least, must pair with char kway (Chinese doughnut - cháo quẩy), to complete the experience.
We were visiting from out of town and had to try this place. It did not disappoint. The flavors were so authentic and absolutely satisfying. Service was friendly and welcoming too. Definitely a must try spot when you're in Houston. Typing this make me wish I could have another bowl already :')
