Our waitress Amanda was awesome. Great food. They even made my daughter a pancake in the shape of a duck. Would give more than five stars if I could.
It was very busy when I walked in. No open tables to be seen, only 1 that still had dirty plates on it. I stood near the counter waiting for some instructions or assistance with none to be found. Everyone passing by me made it a point not to make eye contact and breeze on by. After settling into the dirty table it took around 10 minutes to clear the table and bring me a menu. It took an hour for me to get a club sandwich. Never was once checked on for anything. My bill was dropped off with the sandwich. Never even got a refill. I notice a man paying at the cashier stand so I go stand behind him thinking this will get me checked out faster. Nope, as soon as the cashier finished cashing him out she took off. Maybe this is done to all strangers being a small town and all.
Delicious food! This was a welcome break during our road trip. The staff was friendly and courteous.
Traveling like we do, we make it a point to try out small, independent cafes and diners. The chicken fried steak at Hubbard City Cafe is among the best we've found. Nicely seasoned breading, smooth creamy gravy, perfect mashed potatoes, and just right green beans made a fabulous plate. My wife got the cucumber & tomato salad, which was fantastically vinegary. The mom and daughter team running the place are absolute jewels. We'll definitely stop there again when passing through.
A great Cafe in a small town. Food is always great! The waitress is always excellent! And ALWAYS an enjoyable atmosphere. Most every small town has that Cafe or diner that we know well. Hubbard City Cafe, if you don't know, then it's time to go there! Uhhhh..... OK....... Did I do good that time boss??
Great small town café. Very friendly staff, always full coffee cup, bacon & eggs with pancake really hit the spot while traveling. Looks like the daily lunch special is a screaming good deal too! Further proof that chains are better-suited for towing than eating breakfast!
Great little cafe in the small town of Hubbard. Open Monday-Friday until 3 PM. I have been there twice for breakfast and got the lunch special "to go" once. I have a friend recently move to the area and will definitely visit again. Support local business and get a full belly! Update: Even though there is a Help Wanted sign on the door, the service is top notch. After a few visits, the waitress brings me coffee without a word being said. Love this place!
Nice little cafe with delicious food. The employees were very welcoming and nice. Prices are affordable as well. Drove a way to get here and I left satisfied. It was totally worth it. Definitely a must try place!
