Humo's contends with the likes of craft BBQ in Austin. I've eaten at all the big ones, and even worked for a couple, and I'm sure Humos will land on Texas Monthly's top 25 at some point. This is your chance to try them before they get that recognition. Briskets moist, ribs are fall off the bone. The Texas twinkies held together to the last bite. And I personally love the vinegary bbq sauce.
Sunday afternoon late & they still had all meats to serve, only out of 1 side; most excellent Texas Brisket & beef jalapeño / cheddar sausage made in house! Don't miss this one!
I had the sliced brisket plate, my husband had the sandwich. Both were excellent! The BBQ has a tasty rub and a perfect bark. It’s very moist Try the Texas Twinkies — they are OhMyGoodness wonderful! The OG sauce seemed a little on the “tomato-y” side, if you like that sort of thing. However, their Sweet-Hot sauce is some of the best I’ve ever had. Both house-made. A little off the beaten path, but well worth finding!
