See All ReviewsSoo very delicious. The lady at the counter was helping someone else when i walked in. She immediately greeted me once she was finished speaking with him. Friendly service. I ordered for pickup: hot lion bling, 1x Jerk Taco, 1x lions mane taco, and loaded baked potato. Listen! That hot lion being was phenomenal! Well seasoned with just the right amount of spice and the semi-sweet pickles to balance it. Sooo good! The perk taco was amazing as well, esp if you like sweet and the green sauce pairs perfectly with it. The lions mane taco was just ok. (Should've tried it before trying the jerk taco)-- it was just a plain taco compared the that jerk taco. Still good, just not a wow factor. The loaded baked potato was good as well. I added sour cream once I was home bc it doesnt come with any additional toppings (I believe it's topped with fried onions). All in all, very good vegan food. You wouldnt think it's vegan at all! Definitely will visit again. Can't wait to try the ice cream/desserts! P.S. It's located inside a health food store so you can shop for other healthy options as well.
Asked if some of their items were gluten free and the lady who was taking my order kinda gave me an attitude- went back and checked (came back with only 1 answer when I asked about 2 items - said they were checking on the nachos but didn’t end up answering me), but then when I asked about the spring rolls (thinking they were the fresh kind) I was like I would assume those are gluten free right? She said “idk do you want me to check on that too?”.. and I said it’s okay I’ll just assume they are... I grabbed a banana pudding earlier from their ready made to go fridge that has a label that specifies gluten free and vegan. I assumed it would be easy to identify the meals also being gf… I then waited like 30 minutes for THREE rolls that were fried not fresh - so obviously not gluten free. Honestly they did try to make up for the wait by giving me a sandwich on the house - which I appreciated for sure. But it was obviously not gluten free either. Frustrated I just took the food and left and gave it to my bf instead when I got home. The guy working there was very nice and kind. The banana pudding is absolutely DELICIOUS! And I wish I bought more than one. But I don’t think I’ll be ordering at the counter again - and if I do I will be sure to have plenty of time on my hands and hopefully someone who knows more about the menu.
I recently tried the vegan restaurant tucked inside a local health food store, and wow! A hidden gem. I ordered the BBQ jackfruit sandwich, and it absolutely delivered. The jackfruit was perfectly blackened with that slightly crispy edge, sweet with just the right kick of heat. The portion of fries on the side was generous and they were the perfect companion to the sandwich. The ambience was relaxed and welcoming, with chill music playing softly in the background and beautiful plants everywhere. Plenty of seating, too! Service was friendly and attentive, and although there was about a 15-minute wait for the food, it was absolutely worth it. I’ll be back to try their other offerings.
