Food was incredibly fresh and savory with flavor Local owned and worth sitting down, catching up with friends and enjoying cuisine that transports you to another place
This place is deliiiicious. I’ve only done pick up. Not sure anyone ever actually eats there. It’s encased with plastic, kinda loud from some big fans, hard to hear. But absolutely none of that matters because they have the best jerk chicken you can get in Philly (in my experience so far). I lived in Florida for a while and ate a lot of jerk chicken. And this place does it right. Glad I came in and tried it! The people are nice. I’m a repeat customer. And I have no intention of stopping.
Been a fan of they food since 2010 when he was in west , always been good & great portions!
That was the oxtail platter. It tasted like pot roast not oxtail at all. The mac and yams were good though.
We came across this spot & it hit the spot!! Food was amazing! We had the jerk chicken (very spicy) with collar greens & Mac & cheese. Also the Pepper steak with candied yams & Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection & well seasoned. They have different size platters & the portions are satisfying! I would different recommend this place if you have a taste for soul food and I will be returning for more! 😊
I really enjoy the food from here. The yams are fresh and taste just like thanksgiving. Collards cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I’ve had the stew chicken and oxtails both delicious! Well seasoned and fair portions. Plantains are a must and I don’t mind waiting for them to get fired. There’s cooked fresh to order.
People are very nice food is excellent ,made to order perfectly season will definitely come back again my first time here will not be my last time here. Ordered medium fried whiting candy yams and cabbage and also Jamaican patties
