This is my new favorite restaurant! The tacos and sides were so good. The flavor and quality was great. The service was quick and attentive. 10/10 experience, will return.
Traveled from my stay in Casco all the way here bc of the reviews. The food and my drink did not disappoint. The oxtaisl were tender and the rice and beans was good but a little dry for my liking. I did ask for extra gravy but I guess there was a dinner rush and the waitress forgot to bring it out. Music was great, had a live dj somewhere on the premises on a tv monitor lol Will def go back when I visit again.
We were visiting Panama City and on the hunt for good Caribbean food. I am originally from the Caribbean and cook this food myself. Island Escape is authentic and the food hit the spot. The sorrel drink was also delicious! My husband and I, and our little one stopped in here for lunch after scouring Google for food spots with flavor, variety, plus reasonable prices. I had the oxtail stew with rice and peas, and veggies. Hubby had curry goat, also with rice & peas and veggies. Both meals were fantastic. Tender and flavorful meat. Portion size was large and the price was great. The lady who welcomed us and handled our orders was warm and pleasant. I highly recommend Island Escape. It’s definitely a better food option than the other Caribbean place on Via Argentina that gets all the hype.
