We were excited to try this place but unfortunately we left very disappointed. The okonomiyaki was on ?a stick (tasted ok but not what we expected as it’s supposed to be like a pancake), the ramen broth was bland, the tofu hard and the noodles average. Unsure why this place is so popular. It’s nothing like Japanese ramen and quite expensive. If you want to try much better ramen I’d recommend Ippudo.
Going to be honest - I don’t get the hype. The queues are usually long but we managed to get a table without having to wait. I thought the flavour of ramen was fine and it was well priced but the noodles tasted very cheap, like from 50 p packets of super noodles and they ruined the whole dish. Maybe I should try other dishes
Food was great. From the outside it looks like a dodgy end of alley restaurant but the food is really good. I wasn't expecting much but this was a very nice surprise. We had ramen, katsu curry and chicken karaage. All of which were good. Will go again.
