Food is excellent and the employees are awesome, very friendly and helpful.
The amazing ladies at this place make it feel like you just came home for a family dinner. And the food warms your soul as much as it fills your stomach. If you have not been here yet you are missing out. They even are open on Sundays and they stay open until 9. I'm able to get a meal even if I work late.
I got stewed oxtail with mac n cheese, rice, and cornbread. absolutely delicious. oxtail so tender and flavorful. generous portion. for $28 i had dinner for three days. i will be back!
So disappointed of the level of service and entitlement a lot of our small local businesses have. I’ve been supporting this restaurant frequently recently, my order was prepared improperly today. I called to let someone know and the woman just says “ok” no apology, no accountability. We had been building a relationship since I have been supporting a lot recently, so I was a bit taken back. I’m asking management please ask your staff to do better. As customers we aren’t just paying for food we are paying for service as well. Smh
If you don’t get anything else from here, PLEASE get the yams! They are absolutely amazing. The macaroni & cheese is very good and creamy, and their curry goat and yellow rice combination is unmatched. You have to try this spot! Especially on a Sunday.
Food was decent oxtails a little salty cabbage just right plantain ok. Now for the cost, plenty of meaty oxtails that matches the price❤️
The jerk chicken over rice was good; lots of flavor from the jerk sauce. The jerk wrap, however, was disappointing; didn’t taste any sauce at all, so no flavor, and not a ton of chicken, just shredded cheddar and iceberg lettuce. The mac and cheese was pretty good; maybe needed a roux or something while making it to make it creamier, but good. Overall I’d just recommend straight jerk chicken.
I ordered a jerk wrap for lunch. I waited quite a while. 3 people walked in while i was waiting got their food and left. 2 of them ordered jerk salad which was pretty much what I ordered but in a wrap. Also when they showed their salads they had jerk sauce on them. My wrap was dry. It tasted like a plain chicken wrap with lettuce cheese and ranch. The only way i knew it was jerk was bc of the smokey flavor. No jerk sauce. I called and they said I should have asked for it. Now if i order a jerk salad it comes with jerk sauce so whats the difference with the wrap? Disappointed.
