One of our family favorite, all the food is delicious. A staple for Korean food in Paris!
It's one of the oldest Korean restaurants in Paris. The guide recommended it, so I visited, but it wasn't particularly impressive to me. The food wasn't bad, but it was a bit old-fashioned, and the table guidance was a bit inconvenient. I was directed to the second floor, which was relatively quiet... Despite the very narrow table spacing, I deliberately gathered people in one corner and guided them. Thanks to that, the Frenchwoman who visited alone had to eat at almost the same table as us. Recently, many high-quality Korean restaurants have been opening, so it seems that improvements are needed. Nevertheless, the lines here were always long. It must be because they worked so hard here. I recommend visiting.
We ordered the lunch menu, which included dumplings and bibimbap, and we were very satisfied with both the quality and the portion sizes. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal!
I went to Jantchi with my family, and we had a great experience. We ordered the seafood bibimbap, which was very good, and the Korean barbecue. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, making the meal really enjoyable. The service was excellent, with helpful servers who made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I’d definitely recommend it!
As a korean person, was going to rate it a 3 star but had to rate them a 2 because they only gave us 4 bonchon instead of 6 like all of the other tables. When we asked for the fishcake bonchon they said they dont have that but the table next to us got it.. so.. theyre lying. The tofu soup is BAD. not authentic at all, its just salty water with chili oil ontop.. WHO USES CHILIOIL FOR THIS DISH? what the heck. The spicy chicken is also boneless and tastes super chalky. Very bland. Honestly the 4 bonchon's that we did get were good & flavorful, but the main dishes are not authentic at all & lacked a bunch of the deep flavors korean dishes should have.
The food is tasty and well-prepared. An interesting tasty Bibimbap and Korean barbecue. Sometimes the upper area gets loud—not JanTchi’s fault, just a small room and, well, specific clientele. The service has improved since the last time I was there. Downside: portions have (seemingly?) gotten a bit small. In any way, I’d prefer that to lower quality! Another downside: price. At 20-30€ per person, I’d say the place is somewhat pricey. All in all, a respectable 3/5, with high ratings on food and (recently) service. Bravo!
It was perfect. Very large quantities and still steaming when the meat and noodles arrived. What a feat. It was also very quick (much much quicker than your average french or even Chinese in France). Super tasty too. Highly recommend. We came around 9pm and almost did not wait (yet the place was packed and some people had to wait outside after us). 33 euros for 2.large dishes. Inexpensive and fulfilling
One of the best Korean restaurant in Paris! I've been there several times and it's always good! Most dishes are spicy... The side dishes are good. Good atmosphere too...
