See All ReviewsThe food was okay, and the chef’s were wonderful! I’m not sure of who this man was but he’s older and I believe he is one of the hosts. Very rude and disrespectful. He did not let us know that everyone had to be on time in order for us to be seated for our dinner reservation before arriving. Once we got there, he began yelling at my sister telling her that “he told her everyone needed to be on time” and he won’t be able to seat us until everyone gets there. He then began to sit another family down who did not have a reservation in addition to their whole party not being present. When we questioned why did the other family without the reservation get to sit down, he stated “because they know what they want”. Which didn’t make any sense because again, they did not have a reservation and planned on doing the family style hibachi like us. This man began yelling and screaming at my sister. No one yelled at him and everyone was respectful. He was rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. The restaurant itself is very dark and dingy. Never again.
We came here on a Saturday for a birthday dinner with 12 people and made a reservation. It was surprisingly not very busy. There is a small bar by the door where you can order drinks while you wait around if you do end up waiting but we were seated and our orders were all taken. Everything comes with a little miss soup and salad before the cook comes out. The cook will come out with everyone's food at the same time to cook in front of you and make a few jokes and show off his skills. Everything was tasty and it went by in a timely fashion.
I took my mother here for Mother’s Day, and overall she truly enjoyed herself. The food was great, the chef was entertaining from beginning to end, and our waitress was wonderful. However, I was disappointed with the experience involving management. My signal inside the building was very weak, and even connecting to the restaurant Wi-Fi did not help. When I received the bill, the total was much higher than expected because of the automatic 18% gratuity that was added. There were no visible signs posted at the entrance or inside the restaurant informing customers about this policy. Because I needed a stronger signal to unlock my card, I stepped outside. During that process, the manager became impatient and had an unpleasant attitude toward me and my mother, which made me uncomfortable. As assumptions were being made while I was simply trying to access my phone and pay my bill, being an African American woman added another layer of discomfort to the situation. I also noticed that I was never given my receipt. The food, chef, and waitress made the evening enjoyable, but the interaction with management unfortunately left a negative impression.
