2 months agoSo difficult to find a parking space, the place is very small the empanadas are a little dry I recommend to buy frozen is more easy the eat there is very small place

2 months agoAmazing location, shop, and feel (right next to public park for a picnic) Instant confidence when you hear Catalina's beautiful Venezuelan accent welcome you in her shop. Your mind rests as you settle into choosing your option to eat; supported again by Catalina - explaining anything from what's on the menu to the ignorant tourist question (such as myself) "you have the one with spinach and cheese?" Catalina smiled and explained that was actually Swiss chard, not spinach. AND THEN CHANGED THE SUBJECT. She didn't grandstand or dive into a back story lecture, just helped me find what I wanted and started making it while she continued the most wonderful, calm and humorous conversation. It's very hard to find any business owner that isn't looking to use their company for a quick dollar or greater corporate sellout/souless goal. The passion and attention to detail is present in every aspect - this isn't just a food shop/business to Catalina....this is her baby, and she treats everyone the same as her business. She simply can not contain her passion and joy for what she does, and it comes through in the amazing taste of her food she makes Highly recommend for anyone with any tastes for food

2 months agoFound this empanada shop while on a walk. I’m always comparing empanadas to Miami and these were good. Great find!

4 months agoThe chicken empanadas are hands down some of the best and most authentic I’ve had true Argentine-style flavor. The chimichurri is on point: well-balanced, fresh, and authentic. The murals are a fun bonus and make for great photos, especially the one honoring Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona. They also host watch parties for soccer matches, which adds to the vibe. Service is excellent—both Javi and the lady working there are friendly, welcoming, and make you feel taken care of. Definitely a spot worth checking out. 🇦🇷⚽🥟

a year agoDefinitely the best empanadas in Oakland 💛 they have a very wide variety of flavors, I love the chorizo one, and the mushroom one is amazing too (they have vegan options too!). Don't forget to get some chimichurri on the side 👌🏽 They also have sweet empanadas, deliciously fresh alfajores and many coffee based drinks. You can also get something stronger though, as they also serve beer and wine. Their service is super friendly and amicable, always fun to chat with them when getting an empanada. Do stop by to try them 🥟🩷

a year agoIt's a small corner store with authentic Argentinian small bites, specialized in empanadas. Good variety of empanadas, smoothies and sandwiches. Serves alcohol (beers) and has some indoor seating. It's a fast-food self-service type. Interestingly, they're open to empanadas and smoothies suggestions, cool!

Edited a year agoSmall shop with some seating inside and out (weather permitting). Nice variety of empanada flavors to choose from. Each one is baked with a crispy, flaky crust and a good portion of filling inside. They also sell frozen packages to take and bake.
