I guess that s place isn't open on Saturdays?! I was really excited to try out a "new" Mexican place with breakfast and even a buffet, but I get there at 1058, and although the website said "open now", it was locked up tighter than a drum and no note or explanation on the door or anything! I double checked the hours and it says Sunday and Monday closed, but also no answer when I called ....very weird and disappointing 😒😕
The best refried beans are here. Chicken fajita meat is great as well. I was raised on my grandma's beans and tortillas - these taste just like hers and I can't get over that. My plate ends up being 85% beans if I get the buffet.
It was good until they took away the buffet and changed the menu to a very limited one. Now it’s just overpriced. They have a section to make tamales but have yet to see them actually make them. The service is always great from B, the server. We will not be returning until things change back, which’s a shame because we’ve been longtime regulars.
I went to Javis for the first time about a month ago with a friend of mine. There was actually really really good. We went back a couple days ago and they changed up the place. The buffet was set up differently and you have to pay before you enter. There's an option to tip on the receipt which I didn't because I'm a strong believer of not tipping until I'm served. Thankfully I didn't because there was no service after we sat down we filled up our own drinks they didn't offer chips or salsa. The food was all soupy. I could have put everything that they were offering in a bowl rather than on a dish if this would have been the first time I had gone here I would never have returned. Please go back to your old ways
Breakfast burritos are always delish. They’re super quick & a good portion. The salsa is super good too, just a little too spicy for me! 😅
From the delicious aroma, festive surroundings to the peaceful and comfortable dine in and carry out restaurants. Javis is the best and authentic Mexican food places to eat breakfast and lunch. Javis offers several choices on their menu and lunch buffet. The waitresses, kitchen cooks and all staff are so friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make Javis one of the best food establishments in the Permian Basin. I recommend Javis as #1. Don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself, you won't be sorry.
The Albodingas, Calabacita, and Fideo are delicious! The carne guisado is super tender. Waitresses are always super nice and attentive.
I live in south Texas and it's hard to find similar food here in Midland. The breakfast i ate was just like back home and they had homemade flour tortillas as well ! Highly recommend and I will be eating here whenever possible.
