See All ReviewsBar style atmosphere. Smoked turkey plate was tender and had a pepper based rub. Smoked gouda Mac n cheese is delicious! Turnip greens were well chopped and cooked but had a sweet flavor and lots of bacon that was unexpected. Sweet smokey sauce, NC vinegar version and hot. Good local place to try while in town!
Stopped in for a bite, was warmly greeted by Vicki and served promptly. The Ribs were fall of the bone great, nice bark on them, brisket was delicious as well, moist and flavorful. Sauce was good, and great sides too. The best part of the experience was Vicki, even though she was extremely busy, she took care of everyone quickly and with a smile. Must try place if you're in the area.
We dine here on 1/31/26. The establishment was not too crowded, so we were seated promptly. Our waitress was over to our table soon after seating to get our drink order. A few minutes after getting our drinks, she came back for our food order. I had the 2 meat platter with Brisket and Turkey. They both were smoked to perfection with just enough smoke flavor. I also had the Baked Beans and Coconut Street corn. Both were outstanding in my opinion. The Beans had a nice hint of heat. The Street Corn had a slight hint of Coconut at the beginning of the taste. My wife had the same meal, except for onion rings which were pretty good also. The Pickled Onions and Jalapeno’s were good also. Cornbread also comes with the meal and was firm, but moist. It was very good. The turkey was just a tad dry, but overall real good flavor. I can’t wait to go back to try the Wings!
