We went around noon on the weekend, and the place filled up very quickly. It felt understaffed, we waited quite a while during our meal and the side dishes didn’t come out until after the rice was served. Also our tea never got refilled. The food overall was okay. The oyster pancake was pretty good, but we did bite into a shell. The bulgogi is not recommended, very little meat, quite dry, and lacking flavor. We basically forced ourselves to finish it. Overall it’s fine. If you happen to pass by during off-peak hours, it might be worth a try, but I wouldn’t wait in line for this place.
I was really excited to try this place; all the reviews sounded great. Loved the banchan. The mandu was perfect! Crunchy yet also chewy and great flavor. The tteokbokki was delicious. However, the bibimbap and the stew weren't as flavorful as we expected. There was also an overwhelming amount of that smoky burnt corn husk flavor. I would come back to try something else though. The apps were awesome so maybe we picked the wrong mains. The service was great and the food came out quickly and super hot.
The staff was really friendly from the start and suggested us some delicious food. We were positively surprised about the customer service. We've been to different korean restaurants and this has been the best in New York. The Bossam was really in point. We are definitely coming back. 감사합니다
