See All ReviewsLove, love, love, love the food here! Tastes authentically Jamaican and has never once disappointed in flavor. Generous portions, too! The curried chicken is my favorite, and they prepare plantains like no one else. Not really a great place to sit and eat, so I only do take out.
I used to patronize this place frequently around 10 to 15 years ago. The food was good and the service was as well. Because of that fact, on Tuesday March 24 I drove from my home in Morrow to this location in College Park to get dinner for my daughter and myself. While the restaurant is still the same the service was definitely not. The guy (cashier) that took my order was rude and while I was looking at the menu to see if there was anything different that I could try, he stood there with a cold blank look on his face staring at me as if in disgust. Don't know why after this, but I still placed my order and paid them my hard earned money. Then shortly after I ordered three other customers came into the restaurant to place an order. I noticed that they all had Jamaican accents. Well the guy (cashier) had a different tone of voice and attitude with these customers. He actually smiled at them and recommended dishes that they might like. His whole demeanor was much different from what it was seconds prior to this. At this point I'm already thinking that I will not be returning to this establishment. Shortly after, my order came up. I was shown my food at the counter and by look, everything was good. But to my surprise, when I got home and started eating, I noticed that I was biting into small fine chopped up bones all in my rice. These bones were in both plates, entirely. This made the food very difficult to eat. I have never experienced this at this Jamaican restaurant nor any other Jamaican restaurant throughout the city. I do not recommend it to my family and friends. I would not even recommend this food nor service to my worst enemy.
The curry chicken is a gift to man from God this is the best Jamaican restaurant in Atlanta and it’s not even close. Great service as well very nice staff. The picture is how I feel after eating Jimmas Curry Chicken…Hallelujah
