Always good there. Liver @ onion's my favorite. Breakfast was delicious 😋 Way to go JJs restaurant 5 Stars all the way
At breakfast we had a large choice of seating. So it was not overly busy. It took 20 minutes to just get water. Another 20 to place our order. It was just 3 of us. Another 45 minutes to receive our order. And I asked once about the status of our order. We were told our order was next on line t come out. When it finally arrived my scrambled eggs were cold. The waitress took my plate back stuck it in the microwave for 2 or more minutes. The biscuit was so hard you couldn't eat it. The hash browns were severely over cooked. The cornbeef hash was burnt. My daughter's grits were runny, no constancy and tasted so bland it was not eatable. My grandson's meal was half way warm. The waitress was well aware the meal was not acceptable. There was no mention of compensation for the totally unacceptable service. The meal came to $50.04. I did leave a tip of $5.00. Even though one should not have been left. We were visiting Rockport but will not return. If I do return to Rockport I WILL NOT GO BACK TO JJ'S!!!
Very warm and inviting Restaurant love the quotes on the walls and the different paintings a good variety of tables and tall tables even a bar area. The food was average. It was good sandwiches and burgers and kind of a couple unique things on the menu like shrimp and grits. The salad bar was OK. Nice variety of things but the lettuce was just in large leaves not cut it up so I had to shred it with my hands in order to make it by size. The staff were very friendly great given recommendations would recommend look forward to coming back and able to meet JJ.
We read great reviews about JJs, and decided to give it a try on our last vacation day. We expected a wait on a Sunday morning, but the 40+min wait was a little more than expected, and def more than the 30mins indicated when we checked in. Once seated, it took maybe 10minutes after being seated before the our order was taken. The wait for the food to arrive was very long, considering the items we ordered (pancakes, hash browns, breakfast taco, fruit) - 20+minutes. The food was tasty, but not worth the long wait. Our waitress was friendly and warm, but seemed to be having to handle other duties at the same time as waitressing. The restaurant was very loud and tables seemed very close together. Overall, not a bad experience, but not a great one. Maybe at other times/days, things are better.
The food was good. They also have a Pet friendly dinning patio incase your looking for pet friendly dinning area. Meatloaf was good tried both brown and white gravy. They were very good . Seemed a little light on the Philly Sandwich and meat somewhat dry but still was good. The Onion Straws were fantastic we got those as an appetizer great choice. So glad we got the large order. Salad bar is good negative side is some of the large items but understand it is aslo.used to dress your sandwich if ordered. I will definitely be visiting here again lot of Menu items I wanted to try. I would very much recommend dining here. If this helps you please givebitba like. Menu is posted bellow
Busy little café, arrived there was a wait but with 4 open tables outside on the patio. We asked if we could sit outside but was told we could not because they were keeping it for people with pets only because they thought it MIGHT rain but then sat at couple there without a pet about 15 minutes after we were sat. Food tasted ok. Service was subpar. Portion size a little on the small size. Definitely not a place to call home about. Probably won't be back.
We went here on a busy Sunday morning. Didn’t really wait long for a table and the food was delicious! Service was fast and friendly! I was already planning my next meal choice here before we left! Recommend the eggs Benedict and the French toast ! Very reasonably priced too!
The moment we walked into this Texas treasure, we were greeted with warm smiles and a caring attitude. We were asked not to sit down because the table was still dirty. The table wasn't actually dirty, but the thought that they actually cared showed genuine concern for hospitality. Our waitress, Ayslian, was exceptionally friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed. Despite being short handed, the service was prompt and accurate. The food was very delicious and hot! My kids said the eggs were sooo good. Cleanliness was awesome and no wait time. Highly recommend this place for breakfast.
