See All ReviewsI recently stopped by JM Seafood (Wing Yip Chop Suey Restaurant) in Chicago and had a really satisfying experience. It’s one of those low-key neighborhood spots that doesn’t try too hard, but delivers exactly what you’re craving. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold and comforting, and everything tasted fresh and made to order. I especially liked how quick the service was — perfect for takeout on a busy day. The staff kept things simple and efficient, and the prices felt fair for the amount of food you get. If you’re in the mood for classic Chinese-American comfort food without the fuss, this place definitely hits the spot.
the food is exceptional, a bit pricey but is worth it if you've never tried lobster like this before! the salt and pepper tofu is super flavorful be careful cause it is super hot in the middle, the vegetables were tasty but a bit old so kind of bitter over all, if you are ordering shrimp please go without shell. The windows and glass exterior and interior looked really good from the inside good vibes 4.6/5
Ordered a Shrimp dish to go. Didn’t expect shells and NOT deveined . I Know this is not uncommon in Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately as an American is was unappetizing. At the same time it was flavorful and delicious. Decor contemporary and attractive, with wonderful aromas.Servers could not have been more efficient and courteous. Pricing toward the high end of average. Parking on side street unmetered and easy.
