2 weeks agoA burger with cheese is like a hug with a big squeeze . Their smash burgers eat every time . Love this place . It is a food hall, space can sometimes be limited. Parking can be limited but the food is worth it . You can take a digestive walk around the mercadeo district and do some shopping after you eat as well.

a month ago10 out of 10 out of 10!!! My wife was having a major craving for a delicious chicken sandwich and was bombarding my phone with a million tik tok recipes. Of course it's Friday and wasn't in the mood to have to cook, so she instantly researched where to find something similar to her craving and Joelene's popped up. She scrolled through their instagram and said "there it is!!!". Upon calling the first question she asked was " Are these made fresh?", all they had to say was yes and we placed our order. OMG it was perfection!!! Craving satisfied along with every crunch with every bite!!! It 100% met her expectations. Thank you Joelene's for pulling a solid tonight!!! GO GET YOURSELF SOME JOELENE'S!!!!!!

3 months agoThe Smash Burger is massive. I had it with waffle fries. The burger was served so hot, I could not pick it up. It comes with pickles and onions on the side. The fries come with an Utah style fry sauce. I am on a burger quest in RVG and this one is the top of the list. This is a food court with shared tables. The other restaurants looked really interesting. Next time!

3 months agoI had the fried chicken, waffle fries, brussels sprouts, and pork rinds. The sauces they included were incredibly well-matched for this meal... sprouts done perfectly as well. Chicken was super tender and juicy. I will be back to try the smashburger and other menu items, loved it here.

5 months agoAdrian (the chef) was featured in Texas monthly for his outstanding smashburger....he along with Frank and David did and outstanding job. The smash burger was DELICIOUS I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts... My cousin Bob got the fried chicken which I didn't take a picture of but.... He was nice enough to cut me off of you so I taste it in it was exceedingly moist, crispy and delicious.

2 years agoMy friend Leo recommend this place since I was craving smash burgers, so I tried it out. The burger was great a little to salty for my taste, but meat was juicy and crispy. The fries were waffle fries and they tasted a lot better then chick-fil-a. They seam more homemade and natural, very good. The place was great there was seating and can walk off the fullness once your done.

2 years agoThis was my first time trying their smash burger, and the size of the burger is very generous and the sauce they gave me with the fries was really good. The bun was good, and the meat was okay. Overall the burger was okay, but I felt it was lacking ingredients for an enhanced flavor, perhaps grilled onions or veggies, perhaps i'll try something else in the future.

3 years agoJoelene’s is in the Mercado district in McAllen which is like a miniature mall with tiny adorable bazaar-type shops and a really nice food court. It’s very clean, cute and new and all the restaurants are a really good quality. There are tvs everywhere with music. Perfect bustling atmosphere which was great for lunch and that’s when we went here. You order and they text you when it’s ready. We got the fried spare ribs, fried chicken platter and the smash burger. Everything was so delicious and excellent and couldn’t have tasted much better.
