Such a lovely spot and a hidden gem! The decor is quaint and cozy, and you can tell they put a lot of care into it. As soon as we entered we were welcomed and offered a seat, and each staff member was extremely kind. Our server Melissa was especially delightful and made sure we had the best experience possible. And the food was great! Classic diner food for a decent price, with plenty of flexibility for customization (including three choices of hot sauce, which I personally love). This is sure to become a favorite.
Can’t say enough good things about this place. The food is outstanding. Most of all though the staff is extremely consistent and awesome. Always remember your usuals. Go here. Or else.
Took my brother there because of the tenderloin. It was awful. They used to be hand cut and breaded. Now they are not. It was overcooked. Used to eat there a couple of times a month with my wife. I don't think i will be eating there again.
Melissa our server was outstanding. Best server I've ever had in Lafayette and I eat out alot. We had breakfast at lunch and it was made exactly like we ordered. Alot of special requests lol. The food was awesome! This restaurant will be our go too for breakfast during lunch when we visit Lafayette for errands. Going to try the skillets next.
The food is awful. The french toast was like it had crusted scrambled eggs on the outside and the pancakes were rubbery and had to be smothered in their watered down syrup to be edible. The didnt have real butter either! What kind of a breakfast place doesnt have butter to go on your pancakes and waffles? The bacon was chewy which is not bad if you like chewy bacon but we prefer ours crispy. The hash browns were unseasoned and the sausage gravy tasted more like pepper than sausage. Plus it was way overpriced for what it was. We wont be back and I wouldnt recommend this place to you.
Sadly I did not enjoy it. I felt it was too bland and expensive but the service was very good! It did take a while to get the food, but it was a Sunday rush, so I don’t hold that against them. The only other major thing was that it’s very loud so if you’re sensitive to noise at all, I’d be careful.
Loved the hometown feel and friendly service. The prices were good and there were a lot of choices on the menu. My husband thought the pancakes were dry, and I would have liked my hash browns cooked a little more. But overall, it was good.
Don't let the exterior fool you - this is probably the best breakfast place in town. They have a pretty extensive menu, the people are nice, and they serve up breakfast all day. The coffee is weak, but you can make up for it with unlimited refills. The menu is interesting and a bit more varied than your typically café. They even have some low-carb and healthy options. The food is also really cheap here, so you can grab more than one meal if you're starving.
