See All ReviewsAbsolutely terrible experience at John R Grill. The food was awful. The fish was overcooked and the breading tasted sweet — almost like waffle batter — which was completely disgusting for a fish fry. The soup was extremely salty and barely edible. The service was just as bad. Our waitress was sarcastic and rude to my mom when she asked a simple question about the veggie pita. It was a completely normal question and the attitude was unnecessary and unprofessional. She was also barely attentive the entire time. What makes it worse is that this place used to be amazing when it was The Star Family Dining. Sadly it’s gone way downhill. Between the bad food and rude service, we won’t be coming back and will be taking our Sunday brunch somewhere else.
Such a friendly place. Wait staff greeted all the locals by name. Food is great, big portions and reasonably priced. I'll be back again
First time visiting and we were very pleased! Our server, Nicole was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, efficient, kind, and funny. My boyfriend had the pork chop dinner with salad and french fries and I had the spinach bacon chicken with chicken and dumpling soup and french fries. All the food had great flavor and good size portions. Excellent value.
