See All ReviewsJohnny's Hots has been along Delaware Ave forever. Parking is very limited and no official tables. There are benches lining the lot and a couple steel shelves on the building but most stand and eat and meet others. There is a riverfront park across the street but otherwise little ambiance as it's right on busy Delaware Ave. I was torn on what to order because their Hot Sausage (now reknowned) was enticing. But I'm on a self-appointed hot dog tour so needed to do a comarison. A big Berks, perfectly griddle cooked and my first served on a toasted roll. What a difference toasting made. There's no 'signature designer do menu' but this was the best tasting dog of the dozens I've had. It's a shame it's such an inconvenient trip from my home.... I'm dying to try that Hot Sausage!
I came here for a hot sausage, and the experience was very disappointing. The guy at the window was extremely rude—no greeting at all. He snatched the money out of my hand and practically threw my change and food back at me. On top of that, I asked for fried onions, but was given raw onions instead. Between the incorrect order and the poor attitude, the customer service was just unacceptable. I will not be returning.
I used to be a regular here but since 2021 the prices have literally skyrocketed! It was affordable then but $8.50?!?! For just an average cheeseburger now???? A burger used to cost $5 for comparison. No thanks I’ll cook at home!!! Do not spend your money here!! Not worth it!
