This fantastic seafood restaurant is located near the Dana Point Harbor Ranch Ramp area. It doesn’t have lunch specials so it’s a little pricier than other fish and chips restaurants. It sells fresh fish for your enjoyment. We were a party of six including a toddler. Everything we tried was outstanding so it is hard to pick a favorite. However, the lobster combo was my highlight. My husband and I especially enjoyed this lobster a lot. It was delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The price is also very good for the meal. I would suggest a group of four people so that you can try a variety of different types of seafood. All in all, the seafood was very tasty and fresh. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. However, the preparation was a little bit slower than we expected. It took a while to get our meal. I eagerly anticipate my return during summer vacation.
If you are happy with grocery store fish, DON'T come here. Your standards will be elevated and you will always miss it. The crew is on the move and work like a well seasoned deck crew...it's an experience to watch. So don't fret if the line is out the door, it moves very fast. Just sit back and enjoy the show, you will be up front sooner than you think!
I ordered 2 lb live lobsters to take to Palm Springs for a celebratory dinner. The crew at Jon’s sold me amazing tasting lobsters and allowed me to come get them way before they were open for business so I could hit the road! They were delicious 🦞
Was expecting really good food considering how expensive it is. Unfortunately fries were cold and fish was okay, not great but not bad. Service here is very slow. Atmosphere is cool if you’re shopping here but no views.
The food was pretty good! Their grilled fish was the best, but the shrimp and chips was better than the fish and chips. We ordered to go because we sat in the bar next door and they brought our food to us, which was very nice of them. This way we could enjoy seating by the water and enjoy our drinks while having our lunch!
Services was slow. Two servers for 6 tables and 2 tables where done and had paid. Took a long time to get order placed. Took a while to get water refills. Fish was good but could have let stand to drip off more grease. Also needed more salt. The salt shaker on the table was very sticky. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
Good fish, okay chips. Plates are small but portions are big and stacked. The coleslaw can seep into fish/chip area and make food soggy - recommend asking for spare plate. Overall, it was a good experience. Some ocean view if you are sitting in the extended patio area, adding to the atmosphere. Would return.
A Dana Point classic staple and best Fish n Chips in the area. In addition they have a great fish market and after you eat or before you can do a lovely walk around the harbor and area. Been coming here for most my life and will always come back when I get thst craving
