See All ReviewsLast night, we were lucky enough to return to the scene of the crime, and were blown away by the generosity we were shown with an elaborate Persian feast I am honestly still recovering from. From start to finish, here is what we tried: - Padron pepper with Mast-O Mosir (yogurt dip) and pistachio pesto - Taftoon (Persian flatbread) - Mirza smoked aubergine and feta dip - Naan-O Paneer - Mast-O Khiar (tzatziki style dip) - Ball-e jujeh grilled chicken wings - Meygoo king prawns with spicy sujuk - Mahi Zobidi (whole pomfret dusted with garam masala) - Broad bean and dill rice - Lamb shoulder in pomegranate molasses and sour grape juice - Chicken chanjeh and lamb kofte jonoobi - Baklava with pashmek (Persian candy floss) Everything was freshly cooked with an intensity of flavour that reminded me just how much I love Persian food. Standout dishes included the mixed smoked aubergine, perfect for mopping up with their outrageously sized taftoon, and the lamb shoulder which was fall apart tender with a sweet and sour flavour I’d never had before. Every dish is beautifully presented, with a generous glug of olive oil, which at times felt unnecessary as it could leave the food feeling a little oily, but was nonetheless extremely delicious. I only wish we had left more room for dessert as they looked incredible, but the baklava was a nice sweet touch and paired well with our tea as we digested the feast we’d consumed. One year later, I’m pleased to say my opinions haven’t changed and this is still a gem of a restaurant on Whiteladies Road. I’m super grateful for all these wonderful experiences, and can’t wait to continue showing the best of what our lovely city has on offer
We ate here today and had the most delicious lunch. We particularly enjoyed the flatbreads, smoked Aubergine dip and the fava bean dip. You must have the slow cooked lamb shoulder with date molasses for your main course! The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the menu was very good value. We will definitely be returning
Very bad experience, I have never ever tried such a tastless food . I went with my husband for lunch at about 5 pm , the waitress at the beginning showed unwelcoming attitude, I didn’t know why ! She couldn’t experience something bad in her life and wanted to through it on us !! We had to wait very long time for the starter to arrive and it wasn’t even under expectations, although I said to myself lets give the main course a chance that it might be good , but oh my god it was tasteless , the rice was heated in the microwave, the sabsi was no taste no salt not cooked nothing was good. My husband had fish which was disgustingly salty, also the whole dish didn’t look fresh . I DONT REALLY RECOMMEND SUCH A RESTAURANT TO ANY ONE ATTTT ALLL.
