2 years agoRamen was great, we were going to dine in but once we got there we decided to take it to go as the whole place smelled like stale cigarette smoke. It sort of killed my appetite while I was in there. While we were waiting, a family came in, sat down at a table, and then left after a few minutes without ordering. Really a shame as it's nice to have a ramen place in this area. I would definitely order takeout from here again though as the food really was good.

I ordered miso ramen, it came with chicken and the noodles were exactly what I was craving. my bf ordered tonkatau- spicy and his noodles were different but he liked the ramen as well! we also ordered the shrimp tempura. it came with 2 pcs and we enjoyed that started. my reason for -1 star is the service. the waitress didn’t check in at all or let us know how to pay until we asked for a check, you pay at the from so just walk up and pay. also there was a trash bag sitting in front of the trash the whole time which takes away from the appetite a bit so it would have been nice to not have a trash bag sitting there.

2 years agoLive nearby and searched for ramen near me and stumbled upon this charming little ramen joint that's could be a hidden gem for me🍜✨ chill/homey vibes with just a handful of tables crammed into its limited space. chicken karaage and ramen were great. super delicious but also easy on the wallet. Yummy and flavorful eats that won't break the bank! This place was a one-person operation upfront, and our friendly host was deeply engrossed in his anime. It wasn't a problem, but it got a tad unusual when he transitioned from eating his own meal to serving ours without a quick hand wash. 🙈 From those unwashed hands he gave me a naked straw, no wrapper or napkin in sight. Now, I know this might not bother everyone, but I've got a bit of a germaphobic streak, so it had me raising an eyebrow. All in all, the ramen was a steal, offering fantastic flavors at incredibly reasonable prices. It's a cool spot for anyone in the area who wants to satisfy their ramen fix on a budget. Just keep in mind that you might need to overlook a few quirks if you’re planning to dine in meal

2 years agoThe paiten ramen is soooo good! I didn’t give too much expection to a ramen, but this one I highly recommended 👍And the edamame is different from others, you would like to try both! 😆 I already finished my edamame and some ramen before I thinking about take photos. 😅

2 years agoNew place in the Houston/ Spring Branch area! I got the Karaage Don and the chicken was super tender and juicy not too dry and not too soggy. The rice bowl came with seaweed salad, grated green onions and sweet corn which added a mouthful of delicious flavors. I definitely recommended this place for takeout and dine in for a nice chill night with friends and family. Quick service and food did not take long considering how much goes into the making of the bowls.

2 years agoHeard this place just opened. Got recommended by my brother to try it out before heading to a go kart place. Anyway obviously with the name “izakaya” in it which means small snacky foods with alchohol basically. They don’t serve alchohol though at least not yet. I don’t think they’ve been approved to serve alchohol yet based on the fact that they’re still new. Mm it’s a very small place serves 6 4-person tables with hard plastic chairs. What’s confusing is the menu they have haha. Some of the descriptions aren’t what the food name actually is and all the pictures of the foods are copy and pasted the same thing over and over. I feel like even for a new restaurant the menu should be accurate at the very least 😅. Now the food. The food was actually pretty tasty along with its sauces. I had an order of the pork belly and another order of ribeye robotayaki (skewers). BUT the portions are TINY. I know it’s snacky, but I expected them to be bigger haha. My brother had the Miso Ramen. I tried it it was pretty good to be honest. The broth was very rich in flavor. (Little salty, but all good ramen is). Soft boiled egg was a bit over cooked but all eggs are good eggs. The service was eh. There’s one girl in the shop and after she serves your food she just looks at her phone for the rest of the time. Sure it was very empty, but I feel like that’s why customer service is supposed to be at its best. Nothing to complain about she was nice just wasn’t very attentive. All in all it’s all a bit “eh…it’s okay” nothing special about it other than the rich flavor in the ramen. There was no music inside so you’re kind of eating in silence a bit. Pretty wallpapers inside. There’s like the pros and cons cancel each other out at this place. There’s nothing really special to comment. Rating Food: 7/10 (small portions but delish nonetheless) Ambience: 6.5/10 (photoshopped Japanese streets paper wallpaper, hot inside, no music to fill the silence) Service: 5/10 (nice but no attentiveness. On the phone the entire time) Recommend to friends? Doesn’t hurt to try :3 Other things to know: $5 for 2 small piece skewers not worth it imo. The asparagus comes on a skewer as well. Don’t trust the menu pictures or descriptions. Approximately 10 min wait for skewers and 15-20 for ramen.

2 years agoA newly opened ramen restaurant in my neighborhood, we had the Takoyaki, gyoza , garlic Chicken ramen and beef udon. The noodles tasted fresh and had a great texture. The broth for both dishes were flavorful and delicious 😋. We're definitely coming back to try more items from the menu!
