Searched and found this little gem of a restaurant when we got hungry while taking a scenic drive up 79. It's a fairly typical small town restaurant, tables, chairs, nothing fancy. Family friendly. They have a small fresh salad bar and even a small hot food bar. An impressive variety of menu selections! We shared everything we ordered. The thinly-sliced Fried Pickle Chips appetizer seemed hand-breaded, maybe beer battered?, (definitely NOT gritty cornmeal), and it was just the right amount of breading. They were piping hot and really good! (included ranch for dipping). We also ordered a Steak Sandwich with Dinner Fries. The sandwich came with grilled onions and mushrooms on a hoagie type roll. It was SO full of flavor, completely delicious!!! Would definitely order again! The flavorful marbling in the meat made it harder to take a clean bite, so I just cut up the meat and put it right back on the bun, it was wonderful! Also ordered Fried Shrimp and Clams dinner, came with 1 side, chose homemade chips, and it included 1 trip to salad bar. Salad was cold and fresh! Good selection of toppings and dressings. Iceberg lettuce, fresh mushroom slices, onions, hard boiled egg chunks, both black and green olives, shredded cheese, cottage cheese, watermelon chunks, and I can't even remember what else, endless combinations for a truly tasty salad! Chose the Peppercorn dressing. It was a truly tasty and refreshing salad. (Hint: I saved a few watermelon chunks to eat as dessert, yum!) The Fried Baby Shrimp and Fried Clams (fairly small sized), with our side choice of the Homemade Potato Chips were all good too, but fairly typical. Before we ordered, we had asked the waitress for any recommendations and popular items, she said hands down the Steak Sandwich, also Monterey Chicken, and the Pork Filet were all really very good. Can't wait to come back and try the others!!! Service was fast and very friendly (Friday 730pm). Great place!
Our first time at KC’s Place and it did not disappoint! I had the pork tenderloin sandwich, which was massive and absolutely delicious. It came with a side of crispy fries that were just the right touch. My friend went with the French dip, and it was packed with a generous portion of ribeye that was perfectly seasoned and tender. We also tried the Chef’s Salad, and wow—it was amazing! Fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance to the hearty sandwiches. It’s clear this spot is a favorite among the locals, and we were lucky enough to stumble upon it as tourists. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
