The food and atmosphere is good. The wait was not Long the only problem is they need to update there Prices they have listed on the wall. When you go and pay, the prices are higher than listed on the menu.
I used to go there 1-2 times a week BUT now I will never return. The portions are smaller and the flavor is no longer enjoyable. The service is awful! Recently they forgot to put my garlic sauce in my order and I called them to let them know. I went all the way back. They didn't even apologize and they gave me a tiny garlic sauce when they were supposed to give me 2 since it was 2 orders. She was hesitant, then I said look up my receipt. Smh Most businesses wouldn't question it, in fact they would give you extra as it was their fault they forgot. Its new owners I believe with new cooks.
The food is typically good, however we have gotten poor service, food items left out of our bag and today we ordered the chicken shawarma and rice pilaf kids meal and there was what looks to be a piece of metal from a brillo pad in it. Thankfully we had moved the meal over to a paper plate for our toddler or else we wouldn't have seen it. Never eating here again, too dangerous.
We’re deciding after many years to no longer be customers at Kebab Grill. It has steadily over the past year declined in quality & customer service. Our recent experience was with our order of the vegetarian plate for takeout. They did not include the stuffed grape leaf & instead of 4 falafel, there were 3 & no dressing for the salad. We called them to let them know, we couldn’t take it back because we live in Fresno. They told us to call the next day to speak to the shift lead Caroline. Carlo line essentially said we couldn’t get compensated! What! We paid for the plate to include what is advertised. We were just asking for the missing items. BAD BUSINESS MOVE, Caroline!
I love this place. The food is great and the crew are very nice. Try the lentil soup! Whenever we are in Madera for business we stop for lunch.
I’ve been coming here for a while, but I’m honestly disappointed more often than not with the portion sizes. This visit was probably the worst yet. There were only a few small pieces of chicken, which definitely didn’t justify the price. The salad tasted old, the pita bread wasn’t fresh, and the rice lacked flavor. I usually give places multiple chances, but consistency matters, and this meal really missed the mark. I hope they improve quality and portions because I want to enjoy coming back.
I love Mediterranean cuisine. I liked the food in this cafe. The beef was soft, but several pieces of lamb were impossible to chew, they did not cut off the pieces that needed to be cut off. Baklava was not made correctly, not tasty. The cashier was responsive. In general, it feels like the business is treated carelessly, without love. Disposable tableware is terrible, the tables are dirty both outside and inside. Despite the fact that the cafe is empty. Lots of flies. The restaurant positions itself as Mediterranean, but the atmosphere is American. At least they bought beautiful tableware and added Mediterranean drinks.
The Kabob Grill is the perfect spot to grab lunch. It’s a small place, but surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The food is some of the best Mediterranean cuisine I’ve ever tasted. The hummus and fattoush salad are absolute must-haves, and while their Philly cheesesteak isn’t traditional, it’s easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
