I was very hesitant to try this place out due to everyone’s high praise. The bar was set very very high before even stepping inside… but that didn’t matter because they absolutely nailed it! The flavor is incredible. The food is fresh. It’s unique and is a minority owner in the kitchen himself making everything with love. I would suggest everyone try at least once. But be warned the estimated wait time is usually double due to so many orders. Don’t order if you have somewhere to be by a certain time. I’m sure this will get better with time! P.S.- I’ve already gone multiple times!
Location was recommend for seafood , they didn’t have the surf and turf available, nor the shrimp . No desserts was available ,Since i purchased GROUPON coupon. I had to make a purchase. The staff was friendly suggested chop cheese. Presentation was great. Sandwich lacked flavor. No ketchup, sauce was provided. I paid 24.95 for the sandwich and a soda. I thought that was expensive but I just wanted to go. I looked online at the menu and noticed it should have been $10. I was overcharged. The 1 ⭐️ is for overcharging , the waiting area needs to be cleaned ( the mirror dirty floors dirty and the fish tank ) the empty dessert 🍮 🧁 display.
Call me the unluckiest person in the world or Khalil's Kitchen needs to do better and now. Ordered the same thing based off the menu, sweet teriyaki steak tip salad with added jerk shrimps 2 weeks ago (pick up). I called in, placed the order hours beforehand as I was heading to work. When I went to pick up only to know at the spot I couldn't pay with card but only cash which I didn't have. So could not get any food. Ordered the same thing yesterday. Mind you, when I call, the Girl taking the order had to go check if they make salad. It should have been my cue to cancel the order. This time, I could use my card without any issues. But God, for a 15 dollar salad, this was unacceptable and completely a safety issue. It seems like the meat was put in the plastic container being too hot and melted off it with the salad. Everything was soggy and I could not risk eating melted plastic. Whatever I had on top, I ate and it was really delicious. Unfortunately, the little or mostly nothing that was left on the container had to go to trash. I was overwhelmingly frustrated and disappointed. I have heard so much good thing about this place and was eagerly excited to try. This is not what I expected the outcome to be.
