Love their special menu and the cold noodles!! Service was quick they cook the meat for you. The meat was always fresh and tender
absolutely amazing food with somehow better service. usually not a fan of kbbq where staff cook the meat for you but here it works thanks to just how skilled they are at grilling. shockingly good price for what you get, given just how many banchan they bring you and how excellent each one is (i wish i could buy their kimchi in bulk...). our server tonight, yumi, was terrific as well and has clearly put in the time and effort it takes to get good at grilling meet while also being lovely to talk with. just an excellent time and cant reccomend enough
Everything here is really perfect at this point The atmosphere is very cozy, which I like The service is very nice if you ask them for side dishes they would automatically give it to you and They greet you very nicely when you come in, but the food is just amazing. The beef is really good. I recommend eating. The galbi Super tender and super flavorful and I don’t know why but a lot of people don’t eat the potato. It’s actually super good like one of my favorite side dishes. It’s very underrated. I recommend you guys to try this place out and try the potato
we came to this place for my girlfriend's birthday, and it was PHENOMENAL. we ordered 3 different meats, steamed dumplings, and ddukbokki. i was unfamiliar with ddukbokki before this, but the sauce was so incredible that i think it may have become one of my favorite sauces. the woman who cooked our food (unfortunately i didn't catch her name) was so incredibly friendly and helped us understand how to eat the food correctly (we are the average dumb americans). she cooked the meat perfectly, and the rice we ordered was cooked perfectly as well. all in all, i'd absolutely come here again, and would recommend it to everyone in a heartbeat.
one of the top restaurants in philly food: AMAZING! 5/5 their secret menu short rib and kalbi are the best. for a group of 7, we ordered 6 premium meats and were satisfied. we also were given two steamed eggs and veggie stews and those were great fillers! the banchan here is also top tier. the BEST kimchi I’ve had. but everything they bring out is amazing and it’s UNLIMITED! we usually buy a carton of kimchi to bring home after! total came to about $50 pp. service: 10000/5 they cook for you, you literally get it fresh off the grill! and it’s delicious. everyone’s usually so helpful, you don’t have one server, everyone’s always stopping by to see if we need anything — they are the sweetest! atmosphere: I love the lowkey, hole in the wall vibe. it’s humble but still the BEST food in philly. good for groups <6 people
This is by far the best kbbq I have ever had in my life!! I have been to countless kbbq spots around the country and nothing compares to the quality of food, service, and experience I’ve had at Kim’s. 20/10!!!
Had a good experience here. I came as a solo diner and they made sure that I am aware that I needed to order at least 2 meat items. Which was fine. Service was quick and they were very attentive. You don’t have to do any of the cooking. To me, the portions size is adequate for one person. I think that if you are eating alone, you could easily finish 2 plates of meat. I saw some comments on pricing and while I do agree that they are on the pricier side…the quality is very good. I don’t mind paying higher prices for better quality. Side dishes are good. I like that they kept the dipping sauces simple. Overall it was an enjoyable meal and I would go again.
Best Korean BBQ spot in Philadelphia, period. The service was great when I was there. Food is definitely 10 out of 10. Don’t forget to try their secret menu, it won’t disappoint you.
