It's saddening to have to report the poor service and inflexibility with my order, while being a frequent customer ( which is now a former actuality). After a recent distasteful encounter and experience at the King's #1 Family Restaurant on Lyons Avenue, Irvington, NJ, it has undoubtedly led to the fork in the road! It proves that an establishment requires more than a large menu to satisfy its customers. SERVICE must be reasonable and justifiably fair on ALL frontiers!
The turkey wings weren't as flavorful as I remember as a matter of fact nothing really held that old soul food flavor I remember it all had a watered down flavor. I won't be going there anymore. I'll take the trip to corn breads I just hope they don't still use sazon on all the meats yuk🤮
This soul food restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like home. The owner is incredibly personable and genuinely takes the time to connect with guests, which makes the experience even more special. The staff is made up of young, bright, and friendly people who are clearly happy to serve and eager to make sure you enjoy your meal. The combination of great energy, heartfelt hospitality, and comforting vibes makes this place one you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!
