Went there for seasonings to make jerk chicken, so not only did I get the seasonings, there person helping me, give me cooking instructions, I followed his directions and the chicken came out amazing…
I visited here Aug 2025, as was determined to find blue mountain coffee somewhere close to Chicago lol. I had a great experience at Kingston Market Caribbean, but what stood out most was Shamari. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and well-connected, if you need anything from the Caribbean, he’s the person to talk to. His network and insight seem to go far beyond the store itself. When you visit shops like this, you hope to meet someone who is truly part of the Caribbean culture, someone who can offer tips, advice, and point you in the right direction. That’s exactly what Shamari does. Even though the store may not carry every item on the spot, I left feeling confident that anything I could need or want, Shamari could make happen. Meeting the owner was also a highlight. Our conversation alone made the visit worth it.
