If you’re looking for a cozy little breakfast/lunch spot near Bald Eagle State Park, Kitchen Witch in Howard is such a fun hidden gem. The atmosphere is cute, quirky, and really welcoming without feeling over the top. It just has that small-town cozy feeling that makes you want to stay awhile. The food felt homemade and comforting — the kind of place that reminds you why supporting local restaurants is so special. We loved the fresh-cut fries and the overall menu had a lot of comfort food options that would work well for families too. Mom perspective: super casual, kid-friendly, easy stop with kids, and definitely worth visiting if you love finding unique local spots around Central PA 🤍
A locally-owned gem serving up yummy, fresh food - homemade soups, all-day breakfast, and some creative sandwiches (ask for the stories behind the names). We purchased some homemade hand creams from the shop in the back. A special place. ❤️
Beautiful homey restaurant! Friendly and attentive service and fresh, hot, delicious food. We had the Gavin sandwich (egg cheese and sausage patty in between 2 thick pancakes) and the sweet potato hash with scrambled eggs, bacon and fresh toast that was well buttered! Also took a mixed berry muffin and a cookie home. Would return when in the area. I loved the witchy vibe and atmosphere.
What a wonderful find pleasant staff and excellent food at a reasonable price. You’ll find many homemade items here. Get a load of the Dagwood sandwich with fresh out the garden tomatoes ! I didn’t find a witch, but they did put a spell on me with their delicious food.
This was a wonderful establishment with very kind and considerate people who don't judge!!!! Me and a group of buddys where on our way to a convention in Pittsburgh from New York, and decided to stop here for lunch and it was an amazing idea!!! I have a dairy allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure my allergy was taken seriously!!! If you are passing through the area I 100% recommend stopping in and getting some food!!!!
Great breakfast and lunch spot. Fresh ingredients made and served by pleasant owners.
I love this place!! It's so cute and cozy! Love all the witch decor. The food was amazing! It was my first time having scrapple. I had a breakfast platter and my husband had a harvest sandwich. I stole a bite of his sandwich so I can confidently say both meals were delicious. Really decent prices too. I can't recommend this place enough 😊
If you are traveling through Howard, PA or visiting Bald Eagle State Park this is a MUST M U S T visit place. On my first visit I ordered the steak breakfast. When asked how I wanted the steak I answered with a confident, "rare." As soon as I uttered the word I heard a, "YES," from the kitchen. I believe that confirmed I had made the right choice. The food was cooked with quality ingredients and, most importantly, with lots of love and care. The steak was perfect. The eggs were masterfully cooked over easy. The butter was real... the home fries were delicious. My wife ordered grits two consecutive days. Yep. It was that good... according to her... I hate grits so I'll take her word for it. She's never liked grits from anyone but her grandmother. I will be visiting Bald Eagle SP again but not because it is a destination I want to revisit but because Kitchen Witch is worth the the hour drive and the park is a great place to burn off the calories consumed. Kurt and Donna, I hope I remembered correctly, thank you for the excellent food and great hospitality.
