2 months agoWe were traveling back home from the Keweenaw. We found this restaurant googling places for breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Breakfast is generally "meh". This place has a wonderful cook! Everything was perfectly done and the server made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stop again!

6 months agoWe stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The set up is cozy. The dining room is filled with pictures and wall decor painted and made locally and with natural items as well. Food was yummy and comforting. Service was great and efficient. We will be back soon!

9 months agoI was really craving breakfast food, one in and the first thing she says is breakfast is no longer served. That was very disappointing. Food was good. Staff was friendly ish. It wasn’t bad service but it wasn’t good either. I’ve tried it but I don’t think I would go back. Also, I didn’t care for their chocolate chip cookie. It tasted like it had too much flour in it and not enough other ingredients to offset the heaviness of it.

a year agoGood no frills diner. Deluxe omelette was fresh and excellent. Good service and reasonably priced. Service was good.

2 years agoNice place for breakfast or lunch. The corned beef hash was very good, and the skillet looked good as well. I'll go back when in Wakefield.

4 years agoReturning home to Minnesota we found a gem in Wakefield, Michigan...just East of 28 & 2....The ambience was fantastic...The waitress greeted the regulars by name. Nice wall hangings. The cook...a sister of the 2nd generation who have owned the restaurant came out and visited us...so wonderful ... My husband ordered Country Fried Steaks, eggs over easy and toast..with water.... I ordered and easy over fried egg, perfectly crispy toast, and buttered rye toast👍👍👍👍👍 Everything is just the way I like it... We're thrilled to have stopped at this quaint gem.
