See All ReviewsWe ordered attieke and goat meat today and the quantity was very disappointing. Usually one order at a cost of $18 would be good enough for 2 people but what we were served today was very dissatisfying. I used to be a regular customer of K's kitchen but for the past several months, the food quality has detolorated. I hardly purchased authentic Liberian meal from them anymore. The food doesn't taste anything like a Liberian cuisine. I am very disappointed and won't be eating or recommending anyone to k's kitchen anymore.
Today was meant to be a normal outing and exchange where I order food from my native country cuisine but it wasn't satisfactory. I am familiar with the ingredients of all dishes Liberian because I cook them often. I purchased torborgee and it was not good at all. The food tasted spoiled despite it "being made fresh daily." I called to ask could I exchange or be given a dish in place of my order and was refused. I was told I can send an email to the manager and hopefully get a response. I have never been refused something like this which is typical restaurant practice. I was displeased and felt like money was stolen from me considering the service I received. I will not return and I will ensure the people I know are made aware of this establishment's customer service skills.
Tonight was my first time trying K’s Kitchen and let me say, I will absolutely be back!! I got the ginger juice, attieke &fried plantain (with croaker), potatoes green and a side of sautéed peppers and onions. Everything was delicious!!! The ginger juice is a bit expensive but so is ginger so there’s that. It was soo good and tasted so fresh, I’d gladly buy it again. I didn’t realize what attieke was until after I ordered it and started to swap it for rice but I’m glad I didn’t because I got a huge portion of rice with my potatoes green. I don’t even know what the potatoes green is exactly but it was good and so was the meat they threw in there with it! The croaker was cooked perfectly and the tiny container of mashed hot pepper stuff was fabulous with it!! I’ll be eating this for a few days, it’s a good portion of food. Way more than I was expecting.
