I ordered food from DoorDash to be delivered to my hotel room, which is about three blocks away from Kyoto. The food was the worst food I’ve had in a long time. Seriously.
I ordered the quick lunch to go for $15 and added an order of $5 dumplings. They didn't send the chicken, the rice tasted like grease and hardened into a solid mass before I got back to my office, and the California roll tasted like nothing. And then the dumplings were hard and so tiny that they all 4 fit in the palm of my hand (see photo)! This is not the caliber of food or to-go service I have experienced with this restaurant in the past, and I hope it was a fluke.
The whole restaurant had a very strong cleaning fluid smell and the floors were sticky. It was also freezing. The sushi was fine.
