This place is good, but the Stars is due to the long wait in Line. I shouldn't have to wait almost 20 to 25 mins in DT for a burrito. What's even more sad you get faster service inside as a walk in vs DT.

I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley so finding a place that serves authentic Mexican food like home is tough to find. However, La Esmeralda makes me feel like I'm back home 💯 The Burritos are top notch! Tortillas are homemade and they pack it with freshly made ingredients. Definitely ask for cilantro and onion along with their salsa! I will definitely be back. (The menudo is bomb!)
