We like to come here once in a while but today we called for the specials and were given to us but once we got there, their dinning room was closed that should have tipped us of what was to come . We ordered 2 moles to go and it was horrible I don't understand why people make mole and boil the chicken out of the mole with no spices, garlic onion a chicken bouillon or something then the mole at least use the Don Rogelio spicy one cuz it felt like I was eating cheap chocolate very very disappointed. Tortillas hard rice over cooked the only highlight was the fideo and salsa. Won't be back here in a while
I only found out about Benny's by accident and I'm so glad I did. I love eating their carne guisada tacos with everything! Also, Benny and his staff are super friendly as well! The only complaint i have, is that he's not open late because i be craving the tacos late at night 😅.
Every time I come to Harlingen for business I always come here”Always”. I’ve tried almost every plate and they are authentic. Hard to find delicious places like this almost everywhere. Might not be big and fancy but this is the real deal!!
