2 months agoI tried this restaurant for the 1st time a few days. 1st time the messed up my order(the day of the last snow storm 😒)I paid almost $30 for shrimp and broccoli ended up with chicken and broccoli 🤦🏼♀️worst part my local Chinese restaurant makes it 100 times better. Anyway called them and they gave a $10 credit smh. Went back yesterday to use and try something different. 2nd time got fried chicken and yellow rice, got fried plastic in my rice. Lesson learned never going back.

3 months agoThese people are not Cubans. They all Chinese. I discovered this by the management there and a young lady who works there. Now, The photo on the left is what they have given me. Dominican rice. On their menu it says Yellow Rice with shrimps 27.00 bucks for a big plate. The photo on the left is the yellow rice they will give you. Im Puerto Rican, that is NOT yellow. More like a brown rice. The photo on the right is Yellow SPANISH rice. They didn't give me that. They gave me yellow rice small but with no shrimps. I ask them if they can make it like the one on the right side with shrimps. They refuse and said they can't make it. These people are NOT PURE CUBANS or Spanish. they straight up Chinese. The brown rice is not Yellow. They don't know pure Spanish food. This is all silly. Not gonna go there again because the heavy heavy price they throw in there.

6 months agoFood was solid, not amazing, portion didn’t blow me out of the water. I wish the big drinks were a bit cheaper. A homeless man entered the establishment and tried to ask everyone in the restaurant for a dollar. The waiters were able to handle the situation pretty well and get the guy out. Well done to them, sesame chicken was on par.

9 months agoFor native NYers this is simply the BUTTA Spot! No other name or description needed. Don’t believe me, you can now Google “butta spot” and see what comes up. For those of us that “grew” here this is where you came back in the day for a great drink. Before nutcrackers were a thing and most definitely before Covid and drinks to-go were ever consider a legal option. One of those old-school spots that just hits. Nothing fancy, simple and clean… just good food and fast to the point service and the Butta drinks are always on point. This place just brings back such nostalgia. Now I must admit what is far from nostalgic is the “2025” Butta prices. After many years the prices were a shock upon my recent return. I remember when you could get a Butta for…. Nevermind I was about to date myself. LOL. Besides the Butta the wings are also still a must for me. Since I came mainly for the butta, I only grabbed wings. Of course even the food prices have seen an increase. Our server was funny and friendly, matching the restaurant's simple laid-back vibe. Just one of those places you have to return to because it brings back that touch of nostalgia that is sometimes needed with the passing of time. Just A Note: -They do offer some lunch specials before 3pm. -The drinks are a smidge… just a smidge cheaper if you dine in.

a year agoCame here for my cousin's birthday. He is a frequent customer and said the food is OK, but he really comes for the drinks. Personally, I think they're equal. I had the Peking Buddha's Delight and my gf had the Lomo Saltado (I think). The Henny Colada (I forgot to take a pic) was hittin!

2 years agoI met a friend at this restaurant for lunch. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted and sat. We started with some drinks and I had the LIT and red wine which I enjoyed. For my meal, I had the lunch meal of the spicy shrimp, which was good. I just wish they had more shrimp. My friend had the shrimp and broccoli, which he liked. We enjoyed our time!

2 years agoThe food is sooo expensive and so TRASH. Like I cannot believe I let TikTok gas me into tasting this food. The butta drinks are good don’t get me wrong but the food I had today so disappointing. I had the “Spanish cuisine” meal rotisserie chicken for $16.95. This was nothing of Spanish cuisine the food was so bland nothing like authentic Spanish food. The chicken was barley done and then the little thing of salad they put on the side was a mess too. Never again.
