Tried the birria tacos here tonight and had a pretty unique experience. This is a style that comes out of Jalisco, where birria originates, and they prepare it a little differently than the tacos most people are used to. The tortillas were thicker and very soft, and they grilled the cheese directly on the plancha before adding the birria on top. It creates a crispy cheese layer that’s attached to the tortilla. Interesting technique and not something I see very often. The staff was friendly and the turnaround time on a phone order to-go was quick, which I appreciated. Parking in the area isn’t the easiest, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re picking up an order. Flavor-wise it wasn’t my favorite birria I’ve had, but the preparation style was unique enough that I’d definitely be willing to come back and try a few other things on the menu.
It's a little small inside and there's like only 5 parking spaces. BUT the tacos were good. They didn't skimp on the meat. Free chips and salsa and a good condiment bar for all your different sauces and salsa.
Good is fabulous! Chile relleno was the star. Great and fast service, friendly staff. Fully recommend
