See All ReviewsLa Posada is a small, family-owned Mexican restaurant in Southwest Detroit that feels very authentic and homey. The place originally started as a small market before growing into a restaurant serving traditional dishes from the Mexican state of Jalisco. I ordered a few tacos and they were simple but really flavorful. The meat was well seasoned, and the fresh onions, cilantro, and salsa made everything taste great. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, with a neighborhood vibe that makes it feel like a hidden gem. Overall, La Posada is a great spot if you want authentic, home-style Mexican food in Detroit’s Mexicantown area.
I'm not an expert at Mexican food, but this is some of the best and freshest I have ever had. AND they have off-street parking!
