See All ReviewsI read several reviews on this place. Almost all of them were positive so we decided to try it. The place was empty except for one person. We arrived a little past 4 pm. I asked the waitress if they had beer- she said no beer. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant that didn’t serve beer. I ordered half sweet and half plain tea. She came back saying that they didn’t have any sweet tea. I ordered a Diet Pepsi. For dinner I ordered Fajitas Texanas. My wife ordered Empanadas and Sopes. The waitress brought out nachos and salsa- it had no taste. After about 15 minutes our dinners came out. Mine was sizzling and it smelled delicious! I ate some of the steak- no taste, and it was overcooked. I tried the shrimp- it was good. The peppers and onions were good. Last was the chicken- again-no taste and it was way overcooked. The corn tortillas were like rubber and I didn’t even eat them. My wife’s dinner was tasteless as well. Prices were appropriate and service was meh. We will not be going back.
Such an amazing place! You can tell the food is homemade and it’s just so delicious! I cannot recommend La Promesa enough will be coming back often!
Incredible homemade food. Made to order. We couldn't have cheese on a portion of the order and they got every custom order correct. Note: definitely budget your time as good food is sometimes longer to receive. You may want to go to the grocery store and then come back to retrieve a carry out order. Absolutely worth it though.
