See All ReviewsThe place just had a nice atmosphere about it. Well decorated. It feels quite warm and inviting. Price is very good for the portions they give you. Got a burrito. It was quite good indeed. Also sampled some of the stewed birria which was also perfectly cooked and delicious. I want to try more of this menu so much. Especially considering you come home with leftovers.
This place has the very best quessabirria in the city! It's simply awesome! Huge chunks of tender beef in an amazing gravy. Not at all greasy as I've experienced at other restaurants. And, the owner is friendly and welcoming. It's also a BYOB, so when I go with friends, we bring a couple bottles of vino. Can't commend this place enough.
I don't typically leave reviews, positive or negative but I had to say something here. This is my 3rd Friday in a row coming here for lunch, mostly because the food is amazing, but on top of that they have the best Chips and Salsa I've ever had in Chicago. Ive taken home a large salsa Roja and 2 bags of chips for my family every time. I'm not a professional, and I know we chicagoans have very strong feelings and a ton of passion for our food, but this is without a doubt my new favorite spot for a burrito. If you like steak, it's really good.. but aside from the regular steak tacos, burritos, and everything else, they have an Arrachera that is different. I highly recommend it. Perfect balance between char and juiciness with fantastic flavor. Lastly, I'll say the staff here is quite wonderful. I believe it's family run. The tall gentleman who has helped me everytime I've Cole has been so pleasant, easy to converse with and doesn't hover or hound you. It's an awesome way to start my weekend and I think I'll be leaving here happy for many Fridays to come!
