Let me tell you something: if happiness had a smell, it would be fresh pupusas hitting the griddle. We pulled up thinking we were just grabbing dinner… and left questioning every life choice that didn’t involve eating there sooner. The pupusas? Crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside — like therapy, but edible. The cheese stretch alone deserved its own slow-motion montage. I ordered one… then another… then suddenly I was in a committed relationship with a plate and didn’t feel bad about it. If loving pupusas is wrong, I don’t want to be right. The curtido? That crunchy, tangy little sidekick? Absolute chaos in the best way. It cuts through the richness like, “Hey, remember balance?” And I politely ignored it while going back for another bite. The place itself had that perfect local-spot energy — not trying too hard, just quietly serving food that could ruin every chain restaurant for you forever. You know it’s good when the only sound at the table is chewing and occasional emotional sighing. By the end of the meal, I wasn’t walking out. I was rolling. My ancestors were whispering, “Yes. This is how you honor us.” 10/10. No notes. Only crumbs. If you’re in North Carolina and you haven’t been to Las Pupusas Deli yet, what are you even doing with your life? Go. Order too much. Regret nothing.
This place sucks I do not recommend. The pupusas are not good at all they do not taste nor are how the pupusas are supposed to be . They are ripping off the consumers. They charge 3 dollars for each pupusa which is excessive charging and they give you more masa than what's inside of it . I will never visit this place again and I hope people don't spend their hard earned money on masa
