See All ReviewsPrice is high for the quality/taste of food. Uncomfortably cold inside (on a March day). Service was good and friendly but probably wouldn't go again, especially since it is a little out of the way.
We were told by the campsite that this place was a good place to eat food even though it's a bar, it had alright food. The bartender was our waitress and was the only waitress in the whole place. Otherwise, I would have gave him 5 stars, but she had to run about 5 or 6 tables in the whole bar. Not bad service, not bad food, just not for us.
I have been going to this place for many years. I am not sure what is going on now but it is circling the drain fast! Yesterday we went in and there were no other diners. Great so we ordered. I asked waitress if I could split my order of chicken wings as 6 only one flavour and 6 of a second flavour. Sure no problem. So I did. I ordered celery and blue cheese as well for an additional $2.95. Person I was with ordered a hamburger and fries. (Usually excellent). It took 45 minutes and not once the the waitress ask us if we wanted another drink. When the food finally arrived the fries were over done like potato sticks and the burger was over cooked as well. When the waitress finally checked on us the person I was with said the food was lousy. She offered more fries. We did not want to wait any longer. Then our bill was $30! And that was with the fries taken off. So we had water to drink, one burger, 12 wings and one order of celery and blue cheese dressing! A burger is $5.00 the side was $3. Basically I paid $22 for some flavoured chicken nuggets. You don’t get a bill there so it’s really not possible to see how she did the math, presumably she did. I was happy to spend $30 and get out. Sadly I’ll never go there again and have heard from several friends who have stopped going there as well why they will not go there. RIP Laurel Run. Shirley and Chick would be appalled.
