Just my luck... last time was a hair and this time is a piece of plastic inside the green bean bao. 😩🤢 20260501 I came here three times. The baos are good and I really like the dough. The meat filling could use some more salt. The baos are much better with red crushed pepper hot sauce or soy sauce with oil. The pork and shrimp has 1 decent size shrimp. The baos are very juicy. Be sure to lean over the plate when you take your first bite so you don't accidentally dripped the bao juice on your clothes. Have lots of napkins because your hand will be covered in bao juice. I tried almost all the baos, and the pork meat is very similar in looks and taste in the pork baos. All the baos look alike, except for the veggie one which is filled with cabbage. The veggie ones would have been better with glass noodles and mushrooms. I wish there was a way to distinguish the baos. I tried the sticky rice wrapped in leaves, and it was good. Unfortunately, I found a hair in 1 of them. 🤢 Some items don't have the price displayed. The ladies working were NOT friendly, and today, I figured out why... they can't speak English. I have a completely different experience today. I asked James at the Korean restaurant next to this Dumpling place, and luckily, he's Chinese, and was soooo nice to help me out! When paid in cash, you'll get about 10% off.
The culinary offerings have been satisfactory thus far.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The waitress’s attitude was abysmal. From the moment I walked in, she was curt and dismissive toward me, but I couldn’t help noticing she was all smiles and attentive when serving customers of a different race. Watching her put genuine effort into helping others while treating me like I was an inconvenience was upsetting and unprofessional. The food was just as disappointing. The dumpling skins were so thick they overpowered the filling, and 6 out of the 15 dumplings were broken and falling apart when served. On top of that, it took over 25 minutes for my two dishes to arrive — and one of them was only an appetizer. Bad food can sometimes be forgiven, but discriminatory service cannot. I won’t be returning, and I hope management takes a serious look at how their staff is treating people Update: they overcharged my card $5 and gave themselves a tip
