Came here with my folks three days ago and we were delighted by the quality of the meal for how cheap it is. Delicious, freshly made, and while the wait was not exactly short, they made that clear as we came up. Well worth the wait if you're looking for a summertime local taqueria. Can't wait to come back to try their desserts!
I really wanted to like this spot because the reviews online looked promising, especially on Google. The wait time was reasonable (about 15–20 minutes like they quoted), and the staff wasn’t rude, but unfortunately the food itself was really disappointing. I ordered the birria tacos and a California burrito. The birria tacos had almost no flavor at all. The beef had a strong “meat” smell/taste to it that made it seem either under-seasoned or not cleaned/prepped well, and the texture was chewy instead of tender. The California burrito was also not good. The fries were limp and undercooked, the steak was dry and tough, and the cheese was clumped together in big chunks throughout the burrito instead of melted evenly. The rice tasted more like plain jasmine rice than seasoned Mexican rice, and there were large chunks of onion inside that weren’t mentioned when ordering and completely threw off the texture. Overall, the food lacked seasoning, flavor, and balance. I don’t mind simple food, but this honestly just tasted poorly prepared. If you’re someone who knows good tacos or cooks well at home, this place will probably disappoint you.
Their food is good however the service is very very bad. I came about a week ago and they took more than 45 minutes just to hand me my food and today it took them half an hour to hand me my food although the place was empty. Even if the food is good, I will not be waiting more than half an hour just to enjoy my food. I also tried making my order online. The guy that picked up the phone was very rude and all what I said is hi how are you and he hung up the phone
