3 years agoWasn't that great. My biscuit was microwaved, turned my bread into a brick. Gravy tasted like it was canned previously. My waitress was very nice though. Polite and attentive. I'm only traveling through so I can't comment on other food. But I won't likely be back either way.

5 years agoI've been going here ever since I was a baby practically and I want to put a good rating on here and the people who go here have loyalty to the business. But the food isn't outstanding by any means and it's really run downhill ever since the original person doomed this business I personally think it needs rebranding and vamped up to become its own individual place so that way it could be more successful. I've heard a lot of bad experiences with this place and I've never really had one to remember... When it comes to the actual business itself.

5 years agoMy partner and I went into this mom and pop dinner. Before we entered we were able to chat with a cook who was extremely enthusiastic, helpful, and kind. Great start. He helped us decide what to eat before we even sat. The food was amazing and he was on point. The service was left to be desired. Waitress brought drinks, brought food, and brought check. The end. No life in her at all. I was brought the check before we were even half way done with our food and she never came back to check on us. Maybe I needed another drink but she coulda cared less. Not a smile on either waitress. For waiters who have been out of work for sometime she definitely didn't act like she needed any money. I still tipped 20% but frankly I will go back for the food. Not the service. And normally I tip really really well. Her loss. Please watch the people who interact with your customers cause you almost lost one

6 years agoThe Early Bird - yours truly - arrived at 7: first of a growing crowd. I craved for breakfast a three-egg swiss-and-mushroom omlett with a bowl of (double) grits on the side. All hot and freshly prepared and promptly served by a fine young lady, Breakfast was supplemented by Gator Hammock Gator Sauce (on the tables!) and black pepper and all the boiling coffee I could stand. Washed down my supplements and prescriptions with chilled tomato juice, read this week's "The Epoch Times", checked my phone and was on my way in just over an hour. A very warm, veteran's welcome and a homey, patriotic atmosphere complemented my fine start to another Florida fall day in the trenches.

6 years agoAbsolutely love this place. Every time my family and I go out to breakfast we come here. They have excellent customer service, great food and it’s decently priced. I definitely recommend.

6 years agoThe service was absolutely fantastic, the waitresses were friendly and helpful to each other and stopped by often with refills. The decor is awesome, super patriotic and that's nice to see in this day and age where what the extreme & annoying vocal minority wants seems to dictate what the common sense majority gets. The place was packed for Sunday breakfast. The food was good, homey and the portions were good sized. This is a great little breakfast dive spot. Prices are also good. Our only concern was the kitchen being pretty slow. The waitress explained that they recently had a change of management and a bunch of the old employ quit so they are trying to train and replace back of house employees. We'll give Loreens a few weeks to work out the kinks and try again because everything else was great.
