See All ReviewsI recently returned back to Del Rio and am sad after realizing that I can’t bear eating ever again at Los Betos Restaurant. In the past, I have enjoyed several meals there and used to especially like the beef soft taco ranchero plate, steak ranchero plate, and Chuy’s plate. However, the last time that I was there the tortilla chips, which are periodically delivered from San Antonio, were dreadfully stale and the salad dressing had an expiration date more than three years old. (Unfortunately I ate some of it before realizing.) If the restaurant serves such dated food items, it makes me question what other spoiled food items that they may be providing to unaware diners. I left the restaurant that day feeling sick to my stomach but it did not escalate to the level of full-blown food poisoning. If you are a risk taker, you may receive the benefit of a tasty Mexican meal at a reasonable price. Just be aware that you may possibly spend the day with your head positioned above the toilet. The fear of a repeat experience prevents me personally from ever returning back to Los Betos Restaurant. I used to really like this restaurant at one time. You have been warned. Eat there at your own risk.
We ordered our food. Food never arrived. Waited over 40 minutes. Need attention from the owner. 11/30/2025
I went at 2pm planning to dine in, but the tables were full so I ordered the food to go. I was traveling in a campervan so I ate in the van just outside the restaurant. The food was delicious. I also ordered the guacamole and chips which also came with pico de gallo. If I’m ever in Del Rio again, I would return.
