See All ReviewsBreakfast tacos are very good. Fresh homemade tortillas are delicious. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend.
Usually this place has good food and lukewarm sevice. But today not even the food was good. When we walked in we were not greeted. Just some young kid with an Edgar Cut at the counter looking like he didn't want to be there. We got our food, 2 Machacado con Juevo Plates. Mine was ok but it didn't have much Machacado. My Wife's was burnt and also very little Machacado present. You could smell it from across the table. I had to get up and take it to them to have it remade. When it came back out it was really greasy and she wasn't able to eat it. This is unacceptable for $45 with tip. I really liked this place since it 1st opened, but it's been a steady decline in every aspect. My goal is to offer advice on what can be improved so this place stays open and becomes successful. Train your front of house employees and set expectations. None of them act like they want to be there. If that's the case then get people who do want to be there. Set standards and hold ALL of them accountable. They need some sort of uniform. Even if its Jeans and a Black t-shirt. They should look like they are at work. Not like they just rolled out of bed. Be consistent with the food. I guess it just depends on who's cooking that day because some days its pretty good and some days it's not. Retrain the kitchen if you have to but half cooked Tortillas, Burnt Egg & Machacado, and Greasy Plates are not ok. Ask them to cook there as if they are cooking for their Grandmother or their Kids. If they wouldn't eat it, why should We be Expected to..?!?! The picture below was what was left after we removed the eggs from the plate. Not because we ate it. Eggs should not greasy....!! You can do better. I've seen it.
I have mixed feelings on our visit today. I ordered a fajita taco, and my husband ordered a vegetarian taco. I was asked if I wanted cilantro and onions. I said no onions because they were raw, not cooked. On my husband’s, we had to ask that he add the all vegetables. When I received my taco, I saw that it was only meat and nothing else on it. No fajita vegetables, no lettuce, no tomato, no cheese, nothing what happened to the fajita part of the taco? If they are not going to add peppers and cooked onions, why would they call it a fajita taco? Needless to say, I was very disappointed and boxed this useless taco for a later date so I can add my own ingredients to it. For my husbands’ vegetarian taco, they had included refried beans, rice, tomatoes & cheese. No lettuce, spinach, peppers or onions. So, OUR lunch was a bit disappointing. However, if we spoke, Spanish, we may have had better luck. What we did like .. They did bring out a nice basket of chips and salsa, which was very good. The chips are homemade, the salsa was excellent, and the wraps for the tacos were obviously scratch made and delicious. I’m pretty sure there are other dishes that are very tasty and we may be back to try something else from one of the pictures instead. For now, though, if you order a fajita taco, do not expect to get cooked peppers or onions in your taco.
