Everything I've had here is great. I eat breakfast here 2-3 times per week. It is always well seasoned with generous portions. The lunch items we have tried are all delicious as well. This is one of those small town finds that exceeds in every way.
We stopped by on our way from Houston to Fort Worth and we were looking for a nice meal to find. We didn't wanted to stop by and get McDonald's or anything like that. We wanted to eat something that we could sit down and actually enjoy. So we came across this little joint in the city of Calvert. It was amazing. The gentleman behind the counter was so polite. Very nice! We waited for the food and it was amazing. It was amazing!!!. And I think the most important part also for me is that it was not crazy expensive. It was very affordable and for the amount of food that I got it was very good. I totally recommend this place. If you're going on your way on highway 6 north, you have to stop by there and eat!
I was so excited to try this place after hearing good things but sadly I had a different experience. The staff were extremely nice, my food came out quickly and was made fresh but tasted awedul unfortunately. Some of the fries did not taste right at all like they were either rancid or had something that had been soaking in them before being cooked and spit them out immediately. I also ordered the steak quesadillo. The tortilla was over cooked, full of grease and I just couldn't stomach it and got sick because of it. I really wanted to like it. Sadly I won't be going back but wish them luck.
